6. Making Process.

7. Deal with Failures.

1. Whats the company all about

First you need to know all the things that the particular company does. For example, Let's take an automobile manufacturing company as an example. We came to know that they manufacture cars for peoples. We also knew their competitors, which we can use for making the logo more attractive and unique.

2. Whats the purpose of the logo

Now we know about the company. The next step is to know why they need a logo. In our case, For an automobile company. We need logo for two reasons,

  1. For placing infront of the vechicle
  2. Just for branding (used in Websites and Office)

We need to know the exact reason. So that we can design the logo according to their needs and we can know the size of the logo that required for them.

3. What are the colour patterns

Now we know all about their company and their purpose for needing a logo. Next we can directly ask them what are the colour patterns they need in their logo. Now we have the clear understanding of the client's expectations.

4.What are the Fonts needed

Fonts are important for making logo, most of the times Logos are made just by shapes. For this, you can ask your client directly or you can ask few samples of logos or kinds of logos they are expecting for. Example: Your client may say about their competitors logo and expecting to make simlar logo like them.

5. Draft Planning

Now you have all the informations that you need to make a logo for a company. Now all you need to do is to research about the information that you have gathered and analyse their competitors logos and get inspirations from platforms like Pinterest, Instagram and Google Images. While you're fetching for a good idea, try scribbling all the ideas that comes into your head. I didn't mean to make all the ideas into logos then think about the next idea. Just take a piece of paper and a pen or an iPad and start roughly drawing your idea and bring your good ideas into real by editing it with the tool that you prefer. Making atleast 10 logos for your clients can give them variety of options to look and they can make clear decision. So try providing them with 10 logos instead of one.

6. Making Process

While bringing your scribbles into life, make sure you have used the size that the client require. If you are a beginner then try using Canva or Photopea as they are free and Canva offers verity of pre-made templates for making your logo designing process smooth.

7. Deal with Failures

After you handed over your designs to your client. Don't be afraid of the rejections or mistakes, Learn from it and keep moving. A great painting is not made in the first try, it may requires 1000s of tries. But in the end of the day, it all worth the time and efforts. If the client asked for few changes then have a clear vision of your client expectation and having a clear discussion meeting with your client can speed up the process, As you know what you need to do and don't hesitate to experiment with new ideas.
